Dear Carolyn was truly an Angel in every respect. She died at age 39 after a long battle with cancer. She developed a brain tumor while in grad school, underwent surgery to eradicate the cancer (for a long time) and achieved her Ph.D., practicing as a psychologist for quite a few years until the cancer reoccurred. She was one of my closest friends from junior high, high school and our first two years of college at UC San Diego. We kept in touch and visited occasionally over the years.
I'm becoming emotional just writing this note. I know she touched many lives in a positive way, and we are richer for knowing this dear soul.
Carolyn & i were in grade school and Girl Scouts. I held Carolyn in high respect; she was brilliant. She set an example for me. I'm sorry to hear how she suffered. A loss to the world. J.Tipton
