In Memory

Aniko Szabo (Smith)

Aniko Szabo (Smith)

Aniko's obituary can be googled, and read on line, for those interested. I just found out she passed away, and was absolutely floored, and upset. I met Aniko in the 1st grade. She remained one of my best friend throughout grade school, until we graduated the 8th grade. We always pushed the envelope together, but never seemed to get caught in our many adventures. She was truly one of the sweetest people I ever had the honor of knowing. We shared so much time together, growing up. As life progressed, and as so often happens with old friends, we lost touch. We both went to nursing school, and Aniko wound up moving to Colorado where she created a fulfilling life with her husband, and two young sons, and made many friends. She also had a stepson who adored the little brothers she gave him. I am still in unbelief that her life was cut so short 8 years ago. My sweet childhood friend, you are frozen in my memories...forever young. With love & the fondest remembrance, rest in peace sweetheart--Yvonne Angeles Bullard

I am so saddened to hear this. She had such a sweet and warm personality.

Aniko was a special person.  I was so honored to know her during my high school years, and I have thought of her often since.  A bright light who has passed too soon.
