John Brennan

Went to PCC as a Freshman (learned I wasn't going to make a living playing basketball) then transferred to UC Berkeley. Got my BS in '78 and met my wife Kathy while at Cal. Got my MS from Stanford in '79. Pretty much been living on the SF Bay area Peninsula and working in the high tech world of Silicon Valley ever since. Worked for a variety of startup and established companies mostly in the computer industry; if you're a techno-geek then there is no better place to be. Still play basketball for fun but getting tougher and tougher on the knees. Enjoy collecting and drinking fine wines (have ~2,700 bottles in our collection) and playing golf when I can (have my index down around 8).

Moved to Half Moon Bay, CA in 2010. Live one block from the beach and commute to Silicon Valley where I work for a startup company that makes autonomous ocean going robots (no shit!). Pretty cool stuff. Ain't technology grand...
