Attended UC Irvine where I became an All-American in Cross Country/Track with a pre-med major. Went on to Chiropractic school and continued with athletics and qualified for 2 Olympic Trials ('80 and '84). Started my practice in Newport Beach in 1983 and am still running and practicing. Stopped racing however a few years ago after logging more than 100,000 miles. Also have a World Masters Record in the 4x1500m relay with my former UCI teammate and 3-time Olympian Steve Scott.
