David Rupp

Graduated from UC Davis in 1979; Commissioned in the US Army (Engineers), served as Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer; Battalion Adjutant. Worked in industry at Hi-Shear Corp (Quality Engineer), TRW (Dynamics Engineer), Hughes/Boeing (Dynamics Manager, Mechanical Systems Engineering Manager, Operations Chief of Staff) making satellites; Retired 2013. Doing occasional Engineering consulting and tutoring math.
Met my wife Lorain upon return from a short term missions trip to Haiti, married in 1988. Currently competing in Triathlons (including a 140.6 mile Ironman in 2018) and am the Leader for our church's Grace To Recovery Ministry (a Christian 12 step program covering all issues).

What a great foundational education.

This was a good time in life for me, with lots of friends through sports, clubs and especially band activities.

I recall the first time we ever beat San Marino in their pool in Waterpolo with the infamous "boat shot". This helped us qualify for CIF playoffs for the first time in school history that year.
